Green hosting
This website, including its forms and short links, runs on Cloudflare, which the Green Web Foundation lists as a verified green hosting provider. You can run the Green Web check yourself. Our carbon.txt lists the providers we run on and links to these figures.
How heavy our pages are
Every time the site is built, we weigh each page as a first visit downloads it, with nothing already cached, and estimate the carbon of transferring it.
Across our 30 public pages, a first visit downloads 110 kB on average, about 0.013 g CO₂e. The lightest is /jobs/ (104 kB) and the heaviest is /accreditations/ (174 kB).

Visits in the last 30 days
When a page loads, your browser tells us how much it actually downloaded. Files it already had count as nothing, so repeat visits are lighter. We turn that into an estimate using the electricity grid of the country you are in, and add it to a daily total.

Everything our host served
Each night we copy Cloudflare’s own totals for everything it served for this website the day before, including files served from its cache and requests from search engines and other bots, and estimate their carbon using the world-average grid.

How we estimate
- We use CO2.js 0.19.0 from the Green Web Foundation, with the Sustainable Web Design model, version 4.
- It turns data transferred into energy used by data centres, networks and devices, and that energy into carbon using the carbon intensity of the electricity grid.
- Our hosting counts as green. For visits, the network and your device use your country’s average grid intensity; for page weights and host totals, the world average.
- Page weights count compressed text, fonts, images and scripts. The security check on our forms loads only when you use a form, so it is not counted.
- These are estimates from a general model, not measurements. They are most useful for comparing pages and spotting change over time.
Your privacy
To measure a visit, your browser sends us the page’s address and the number of bytes it downloaded. We use the approximate country Cloudflare tells us you are in to choose the grid figures, then discard it. We store only daily totals per page: no IP address, no browser details, no cookies, and nothing that links one visit to another. Our privacy notice has the detail.
We don’t measure at all if your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. You can also turn it off for this browser:
